GOT HIRED BY MY MOM

Hi again people who are still willing to read this blog even though I mainly talk about random things for example this article that you're about to read (but it's randomly awesome, trust me)
So, at my school, we have extracurricular activities like other normal school in Jakarta. My extracurricular activity is Graphic Design. Which is an activity where you are forced to channel your creative mind and combine it with some adobe-using-tutorial knowledge plus computer skills and design something almost every week. I personally admit it's slowly draining my right-brain-creative-storage (made that up) because I'm not an artsy person but it's pretty cool because you can turn your graphic design artwork to something valuable and make money out of it.
Why am I telling you this? (besides proving that my blog posts are totally random) Just recently, one person admitted that I actually have some talent in this thing and asked me if I could design something for them. They paid me legit money to design a brand name and logo using my mediocre talent. Pretty cool right? I think so too. Except the person who acknowledged my mediocre talent and hired me is...... my mom.
My mom loves cooking and baking. So a year ago, she decided to create a catering business and sell steam-buns or 'bakpao'. At first, she only wanted to do a small business as a little something for her to do besides being a state-home mom. But thanks to the extremely delicious steam-buns, she recently gained a lot of customers who love her cooking and they suggested to make a company logo to expose her brand to more people.
She hired me to make her a company logo but I gave her one condition which is she have to pay me to do it. I know I'm such a seditious kid or whatever but that's the perks of having your mom as your employer. Besides, creating a company logo requires a lot of creative and strategic thinking PLUS a lot of debating with my mom (one of them include choosing the font color and it took a day for us to agree on one color)
